With their legal struggle coming to a conclusion, Young Buck will finally pay off his debt to former friend and label boss 50 Cent.
Due to a loan the G-Unit CEO made to his former talent to cover his financial difficulties, Buck owed Fif $250,000.
According to AllHipHop, Buck (actual name David Brown) has already completed the bankruptcy process and paid off all of his obligations to the amount of $50.
The rapper from Straight Outta Cashville raised just over $1 million by liquidating his most precious possessions, which included jewels, expensive cars, and the rights to his back catalog.
With the $1 million, he paid off a $190,000 IRS lien, his child support payments, and his commitments to 50.
Now that Buck is no longer bound by any recording contracts with 50 Cent, he can return to making money from his rap career.
It was to be anticipated that 50 was quick to respond to the news, stating on Instagram that he needed his money immediately.
“I don’t know why they put me through this, but I need that money by Monday,” he wrote.
Since Young Buck’s 2008 expulsion from G-Unit, 50 Cent and the Tennessee native have not been friends. Aside from posting disparaging music and images on social media, Buck has accused 50 of driving him into bankruptcy.
“I filed for bankruptcy again after he prevented me from earning money,” he stated in a 2022 podcast interview with Raquel Harper. They prevented him from using his right to a cease-and-desist with respect to my ability to, you know.
“In order to be able to respond, ‘Well hey, if you’re due this and provide whatever receipts or anything,’ I put what he said I owed him in the bankruptcy. This is an arrangement where you will get paid. However, that was the only way I could continue working.
Buck hasn’t ruled out getting back together with his former G-Unit partner despite their differences.
Could I tour and get money together by returning to G-Unit? Yes. During an earlier this year visit on The Ed Clay Show, he stated, “I’m open to that.” “I think it’s a little bit far-fetched right now to sign with the label and stuff like that.”
