50 Cent has stated that he is creating new music, but there is no upcoming album in the works.
The G-Unit mogul, who hasn’t dropped an album since 2014’s Animal Ambition, told Cam’ron on his new YouTube show Talk with Flee: “I’m going to create some new music.”
Nonetheless, he swiftly diminished expectations for a new album by stating: “I’ll likely include it in some of the upcoming projects,” alluding to his different film and television activities.
50 has released multiple singles recently to promote his Power and BMF TV shows, including “Power Powder Respect” featuring Lil Durk and Jeremih, as well as “Wish Me Luck” with Snoop Dogg, Moneybagg Yo, and Charlie Wilson.
Although 50 Cent might not be preparing a new album in the near future, he is set to release an exciting collaboration this Friday (December 13).
The legend from Queens, New York, is officially confirmed to be on Snoop Dogg’s upcoming album Missionary, which is entirely produced by Dr. Dre.
50 is featured on a track titled “Gunz N Smoke,” which includes his longtime friend and collaborator Eminem. This will be the inaugural collaboration of Snoop, Dre, 50, and Em working together as a quartet.
50’s remarks to Cam’ron are somewhat unexpected, given that he had earlier indicated he was developing a new album.
In early 2023, he assured fans that fresh music was coming soon and that he would be collaborating in the studio with Eminem and Dr. Dre.
“Right after I mentioned that, I received a message from Eminem saying he had already talked to Dre, and that Dre is involved and has some amazing things for me to listen to,” he shared with Big Boy, alluding to a prior statement about his upcoming music, movie, and TV show.
“This is my approach: I’ll create something using whatever I find, the finest music I can access.” And when I feel truly confident about it, I use it to pressure Dre into giving me something. “Because he will possess something… He has always possessed something.”
Eminem has even suggested the possibility of creating a collaborative album with 50 Cent.
In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid earlier this year, he stated: “I really want him to create a new album.” We really need another 50 albums urgently. The 50’s are currently experiencing great success. “He’s been on a winning streak since the tour.”
Em stated: “I mentioned to him that I’m here for whatever he needs from me.” “That would be wild, though — an album featuring both me and him.”
