“Why didn’t anyone mention this dude [is] so tall?” 4batz jokingly asked during his latest interview with ‘Billboard.’

Earlier this year, 4batz hit the jackpot with “act ii: date @ 8.” The track earned him endorsements from SZA, Timbaland, Ye, and even Drake, who joined the remix in March. While the Grammy Award-winning rapper’s sole hit didn’t reach the same breakout achievements as others’ — such as Summer Walker’s “Girls Need Love” or BlocBoy JB’s “Look Alive” — the Dallas native maintained the momentum with his debut EP, u made me a st4r.

On Tuesday (Dec. 10), in a discussion with Billboard, 4batz reminisced about encountering Drake and the pivotal experience that led to “act ii: date @ 8 – remix.” He stated, “Up to now, I still can’t understand it. When I initially encountered Drake, I thought, ‘Yo, why didn’t anyone mention that this dude is so tall?’ This dude is seriously tall as hell… He could have played quarterback or something.

In discussing football, Rod Wave made a similar comparison between the Canadian star and NFL icon Tom Brady, highlighting his strong work ethic.

“I appreciate him for providing me with the chance,” 4batz went on to say, adding that their partnership was “likely one of the wildest experiences I’ve ever had.” Significantly, Drake assisted the emerging artist in achieving their initial Top 10 placement on the Hot 100 chart.

In another context, 4batz provided an update concerning his upcoming project, Thank U, Jada, which is slated for early 2025. “I wish for others to see that I am a truthful individual,” he expressed. “I aim to create a revolution in music and initiate my own small venture.” Up to this point, fans have received “hood grammy” and the Lil Baby-featured “roll da dice” while waiting for its complete release.

As Rap-Up had mentioned earlier, the 21-year-old concluded his “Thank U, Jada Tour” in August after visiting cities such as Boston, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Houston, and Los Angeles.
